We got this update from our wonderful friend Irina today. I thank God for her every day, as without her help, we'd be lost!

Mike and Judy,

I have just talked to the lawyer. She submitted the application on your behalf on Friday, but she didn't get the reply from the court. In the application she stated three questions:
1) The status of the case to date;
2) The possibility to consider the case in absentia of the report from Chita region till the end of this year;
3) To inform about the date of the hearing.

The lawyer couldn't reach the Chita court on Friday, she called them today, and the secretary told her that the issue was being considered by the Head of the Regional court (It doesn't mean that the family appeared, they are just discussing what they can and should do in this situation). The secretary asked the lawyer to call again tomorrow. Probably byt this time tomorrow we'll have the answer from Irkutsk court.
