We got an email from out contact in Angarsk awhile ago, saying the Judge still isn't satisfied with our 10 pounds (give or take) of paperwork, and still has "concerns". A complete letter is forthcoming. Irina mentioned two questions in particular - not sure if these are the only, two, but I guess we'll know tomorrow. The first is a REASON why Mike was divorced from his ex-wife. Specifically, if it was due to physical abuse! As dumb as the question is (because we have submitted at least 10 police clearances and have had CORI's done at least 5 times, AND she has a homestudy & divorce nisi saying they divorced over irreconcilable differences), it SHOULD be a no-brainer. The second question has to do with whether the Notary who signed the medical is certifying all seven doctors, or just the last one. (Again, the paper clearly states that all the doctors appeared before her, but....)
Now what Irina wrote was: She also wants the questions to be answered before the court, so you should think about the way how you'll do it.
I took "before the court" to mean "in court" as in, standing before the court - Mike reads it to mean we need to submit written documentation before we go to court. Our lawyer refuses to speculate until she sees the letter... Huge difference in interpretations, that's for sure!
We're praying the letter won't request anything impossible to obtain, and this is the end of her "concerns"...
Funny, I wouldn't call 'em "concerns" - I'd say more like GRENADES. Let's pray none of them detonate, and we arrive for battle rested, alert & fully armed!

OH MY WORD!!! ARRRGGGHHH!
ReplyDeleteIt will all work out - but you sure don't need the commotion!!!
