PHEW!

Harry's birthday "celebration" at the Baby Home
September 1, 2008
(Thanks to Irina!)

After a sleepless night, and endless phone calls, emails, faxes and mini anxiety attacks, it apprears we have our visa problem under control temporarily. Our friends in Russia, our facilitator, his colleagues, and Mark Seibel at the USA Embassy, Moscow all agree the only and best option is go over on a business visa, but apply now for a letter of invitation from the MOE in Russia. If the passport office doesn't have a problem, we'll be golden. If they do, Mike can leave Russia and go to any Baltic Country not requiring a visa, get the correct visa at the Embassy since our adoption invite letter will be ready by then, return to Russia, and get us all the heck out of there. My visa wont matter since it'll be good for 90 days anyway, and as long as I sign a Power of Attorney giving him authority to act on my behalf, he'll technically be the one they issue Harry's passport/visa to. PHEW! We also found out we can stay at the same apartment as last time. Something else to check off the list! Only one thing to do now - take a nap! I'm mentally exhausted...That's it - I'll nap for 3 mintues - at which time Skip & I begin homeschool!
