Tonite he was having a hard time falling asleep because he and Skip actually napped this afternoon. Problem is I really needed them to sleep since we're going to Lake Baikal tomorrow, to enjoy our last day here, with Irina & family. In order to try and speed up the process, I asked him if he wanted me to lie down with him, and surprisingly, he said yes. He immediately asked me to rub his back, which I did. And then I figured I should sing to him to help him sleep...and darn it, my brain is so fried, the only song I could come up with was a Christmas song - Silent Night! Seemed to work though, he fell asleep in minutes! I guess the language barrier wasn't such a bad thing, in this case!

I think that was a perfect song to sing to him... loving the touch thing is coming with him! I'm not getting on the computer enough to keep up with comments but have a great last day tomorrow - weather should be great! - and we'll be "right" behind you with those packed bags...well, in about 19-days (or less)! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day at the Lake!!!

What a wonderful step forward. I know you can't wait to just fill him with the hugs and kisses he's been missing. It looks like he's ready to let you.
