Day 2 of Russian Medical s and by 2:00 p.m. we were done with all our visits. The only thing left is getting the official stamps from the clinic – which Irina & Vova said they’d run to Irkutsk tomorrow morning to do, while we go visit Harry. Yippee! SO much easier this time around! Still tiring, and boring at times, but thank God we are done! We can’t thank Irina & Vova enough for the their friendship, and the hours upon hours they have spent helping us! In between appointments today we visited Harry, and as I anticipated, he wasn’t happy when we arrived. We were back to day 1! BUT, after only 5 – 7 minutes of sitting alone ignoring us, he couldn’t help himself any longer, and joined in the fun. The poor little guy. I am sure that after two days of no visits from us, he had resigned himself to the fact that once again, we weren’t coming back, and then we go and show up – confusing him even further! Thankfully, it only took him a few minutes to “forgive” us before he relaxed and opened up again. Today he played with the cars, bubbles, V-tech Smartboard, blocks, and the Wiggles R/C car. But, it seems his favorite toy of the day was…
THE BUBBLE WRAP...
At one point got into Skip’s backpack and took out his V-tech V-Smile game. I showed him how to use it, and he played around with it a bit. To our surprise, when he went to shut it off and it said “V-Smile”, Harry looked at me, giggled and said “V-Smile”. It was really cute – and I think he surprised himself even, but saying it – without being prompted to do so. After the visit to Harry & the rest of our appointments we went outside of town to check out the campsites. We visited a few but decided ultimately, that Angarsk Hill was the nicest. We like it there a lot. We’ve been there on two our visits for Harry, and spent a night there two years ago – at Christmas. All the buildings are post and beam, and lots of untouched wooded areas. It’s the highest porint of the city, and at sunrise, the view is spectacular! There is a playground and sledding, a Bath house, a small zip-line course, a Bar & Restaurant, barbeque pits used year round, and lots of fresh air. Skiing is across the road – within walking distance. We reserved a two bedroom, 2 story unit for the weekend that we’ll share with Irina’s family. It cost $135.00 a night – a steal! Medicinal I’d say! It has a large living area downstairs, and generous bedroom upstairs. I’d say it is perfect, but since we don’t know if Harry will come, I’ll reserve judgment for now. Either way –it will be a great way to spend time with our wonderful friends!

Have a great weekend - it sounds wonderful! Talk soon! Debbie
