Just for fun

I thought I'd show y'all the receipt for today's "Corner Store" run. Irina generally takes us once a week to a large (relatively speaking) grocery store, and then we make our daily runs to the store for whatever it is we need or want. Generally one or two 5-liter bottles of water & a liter bag of milk (yeah, the good milk comes in plastic bags) are the daily standard items, plus whatever else we run out of or need for a meal.
Today's total was 304.44 rubles, which at the current exchange rate comes out to $10.43 USD.
So for $10.43 we got:

1 pint size bag of popcorn kernels (the "old fashioned pop in pan on top of the stove type")1 quart size plastic bag of "goldfish" shaped crackers
1 quart size plastic bag of bread sticks
2 5-liter bottles of water
2 1-liter bottles of soda
2 pint size packages of cooked french fries (from the "deli")
1 Med. size bag of PLAIN Lay's Potato chips - (Yes, they have Lays here - but plain are hard to find).
The total for the "big" shopping we did the day we arrived was 2682.92r which is about $92.01 USD. Of that - about 12.00 was candy and treats for the baby home. Our daily average is 5 - 10 USD, so if you add it up, it's a little less than what we spend at home...
