Back to the trolley...

as a means of getting to the BH... Since Irina & Vova were going to Irkutsk today to finish getting the signatures we need for our medicals, we waited at the usual stop for Trolley #3, which is the closest stop to the Baby Home. Cold today - about -4F, but obviously, it's been colder, so we were warm enough. Harry came happily again and after a prod from the Caregiver told us "I love you", before his standard question - "DVD?"

Today we brought just a few toys since we were walkin' to and from the trolley stop, but what we did have, Harry enjoyed thoroughly. He loved the Flex-Track car playset, as well the Fisher Price Bus and people & a Car Transformer. He alternated between the three, but clearly his favorite was the Flex Track. Like his Poppa, and br0ther Skip, he has an Engineers mind. He loves to experiment with everything! Today he was putting anything and everything he could get his hands on under the track to see if the cars would still go. If not, he'd make adjustments. Watching all three of those guys together doing something like that is very scary...very scary. It's like clones!

Midway through our visit one of the Caregivers gave us the soft photo album we left with him 2 years ago. She pointed to the extra pictures Irina had brought to him since our visit, and one that was taken at the BH - during what appears to be a cooking class. Harry is smiling, sitting at the little tables, with a bandana on his head and an apron (ruffled no less) around him, getting instruction on slicing what looks like an apple. Apparently she thinks it's time for us to bring the album home - so maybe she knows something we don't! So we took it, and hopefully, her premonition was correct, and Harry will be coming home to us next week!

A few stops on the way home for some meat, at the big Plaza along the route to the BH, and now we are just relaxing. Glad to not have to run around all afternoon.

I am missing the book I've been reading all week as we waited for court, then the Dr. visits, so with any luck I'll convince Skip to nap, and I'll curl up on the couch and get some readin' in...

Since I left my camera at the BH by mistake, no pictures for now. BUT, I'll post them tomorrow after I get it back! Now, off to find my book....

  1. That is very interesting about the photo album. I would be wondering what that meant too! WHy would she want you to take it? Hummmm....

Be glad you are there! Got a note from my friends in Irk today - and it is colder here than it is there. Had to go get re-fingerprinted this a.m., and the temp with windchill was something like -18 (YIKES!)

Wishing you a balmy weekend in Siberia!
