Friday visit and all is well...

Wanna see the Helicopter Irina?

Okay, I'm getting down, you don't need to come over here!

I love seeing them together like this!

Tellin' Poppa all about his toys.

"Oops, the bus apparently ran over a bunch of people."

I'm likin' this toy - ALOT.

Oops, I forgot to put the plastic life jacket on him before he gets into the boat!

Lap #25 - and going strong.

Another day, another good visit with Harry. He was excited to come with us to the bedroom to play, although after an unsuccessful attempt to drag Danil with him, he started to cry. It only lasted 10 seconds, and he was over it. Today we took a bunch of vintage Fisher Price Little People toys with us, including his favorite - the school bus. He was VERY intrigued with these little figures, and played exclusively with them, for 80% of the visit. He just thought they were the best thing and would load the bus with little people and then push it up and down the lenght of the room, between the rows of little beds. The rest of our time was spent watching cartoons, enjoying juice and cookies, and jumping on the couch (which he's not supposed to do, but tried anyway). I have to say this visit has been differen than the last - no long periods of silence - no sulking when he's told no roommates allowed to join us - no attempts to sneak back to his group. I see big changes in him, although it's hard to say just what he's thinking. I do think he is happy we're back, and wants to come home with us. The last visit it was clear we were interrupting his life - the only life he knows. We have the caregivers to thank for his progress as they have continued to remind him that we were indeed coming back for him, and love him very much. Let's just hope that Monday will bring the news we're waiting for, and we
can begin our new life as a real family - finally!

  1. What is the deal with the standing / junping on the furniture?! Seriously! Do they let them do this?
